Janet Lawson

Janet is BenGlassLaw’s Disability On-Claim Coordinator

She does a little bit of everything, including answering phones and routing calls, restocking the office and kitchen, helping with our marketing/promo projects, and of course, giving our clients a warm BGL welcome at the reception desk.

She is from Shreveport, Louisiana, having gone to Louisiana Tech University. Janet graduated from Northern Virginia Community College with an AAS in Paralegal Studies in 2016, suma cum laude. She has lived in the DC Metro area for over thirty years.

Janet joined the BGL team in June 2023. She loves talking with and helping potential new BGL clients, as well as working with our great staff. Janet has been married for almost twenty years, enjoys attending music festivals and concerts (particularly Blues music), traveling, watching movies and TV, cooking, crafts, wine tasting, and hanging out with her friends.

Inside the mind of Janet:

Favorite thing about your role: Talking with and helping potential new clients.

Favorite thing about working at BGL: Great coworkers!

You can spend 24-hours with someone dead or alive – who would it be: Ruth Bader Ginsburg

First meal after getting rescued from an island: Mexican food with chips, salsa and guacamole.

Favorite movie or tv show? Favorite tv show is Friends. Favorite movie is Steel Magnolias

If you won the lottery, what is the first thing you would do? Retire and move to a more “beachy” laid-back location. I love the beach and the ocean. I would also look into being a benefactor of some sort of environmental action group and doing a lot of volunteer work.
